Dr. Hanh Chau (DVM, CVA, CCRT and Owner)

Dr. Chau is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). She has a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and has also trained and been certified in Veterinary Acupuncture as well as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. Dr. Chau believes these certifications compliment both her surgical skills as well as her training in acupuncture therapy. She has been in practice since 1998 in the DC metro area. Some may recognize Dr. Chau from her experience as a relief vet in the area having substituted many a time for board-certified specialists and working at some of the highest quality veterinary care facilities in Virginia and Maryland. She has assisted with exotics for several years beginning with the completion of an externship with Kaytee Research Lab in Wisconsin where she was able to assist with research on various exotic birds. She then continued on that work with non-domestic animals by working with a well-known ferret specialist for several years in Maryland, and substituting for an avian specialist in Virginia. In addition to her doctorate, she has pursued hands-on training in a variety of specialized skills, traveling to: Wisconsin, Colorado, Florida and New Jersey over the last 5 years to complement her veterinary medicine with:

Advanced Dentistry training in Florida

Echocardiograms by ultrasound in New Jersey

A multi-year course in acupuncture in Florida

A multi-year course in rehabilitation in Colorado and

Florida

Endoscopy training in Illinois

Dr. Chau is the proud mother of three wonderful boys. When she's not running two successful veterinary hospitals she is often gardening, biking, or spending time with her husband and sons. For years many years, she had 3 cats (that lived at the animal hospital), 3 birds, an iguana and one dog.

Doctor

Hanh Chau, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Licensed Veterinary Acupuncturist, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist

We have regular assistance from regional board-certified surgeons for more complex procedures, and board-certified ultrasonographers.

In 2014 we purchased Middleburg Animal Hospital, once foreclosed and sitting vacant for over a year, and with new staff, facility renovations and equipment re-opened later that summer.  Our team is doctor-led so we can focus on meeting your concerns and address your pet's health needs.  Dr. Chau now owns Middleburg Animal Hospital and brings best-in-class petcare back to Loudoun.  She and her husband grew up in Loudoun and now own 2 businesses in their home town.  They have assembled a terrific team and have received stellar reviews.  You can read reviews here.

Our staff is not paid on commission and do not receive production bonuses.  Everyone is dedicated to providing best quality medicine and treating pets as if they were their own family.
